i have always been lead to beleive that theres generally only one socket that gets used for the kettle and as the life of the socket deteriates, the load its is supplying doesnt, granted ive never seen one welded but often seen the "browning" on the socket outlet live pin or started to melt even. think its all down to accessories wearing out really. |
