Default Re: Aussie Sparkie - Electrical License and Trade recognition.

If I am right your licence, being unrestricted allows you to work on all low voltages (220, 400, 600). The Australian regs were initially inline with UK, hence Clipsal being able to launch easily in the UK, prior to them being bought out.

As Wayne said, unfortunately there is no actual legislation here regarding who can set up as a sparks and licencing, such as yours does not exist (mores the pity).

We have a couple of organisations who will give you recommendations regarding what qualifications would be beneficial to you, the NICEIC and the ECA. Both these organisations run courses themselves and both will no doubt try to sell you these but all their courses can be provided by independant training organisations local to where you relocate to.

I would suggest that you email these two organisations and then contact local providers, with regard to course availability.

When you get details of what they recommend post them on this thread and we can give you an idea of which will be the most beneficial to you.

Hope this helps a bit.

Bane, if you've used any lemon or citrus in your marinade do not leave the fish in it longer than a few minutes as it will start to "cook".
