So after browsing through the whole nine blummin pages i'm none the wiser.

I'm currently doing my 3rd year in the 2330 and working in a food factory as a maintenance assistant, mainly buildings maintenance and small lighting/power installations but now i'm finally getting into servicing and breakdown fault finding.

I'm wondering which path/courses to take after i've finished the course.
The career path is very narrow where i'm currently working with no scope of moving sideways into something more intersting.
Assistant/engineer/senior engineer/chief engineer/director only progressing in the dead man shoes variety.
I'm interested in programming and new technology and would one day hope to get out of the food industry. Quite frankly it stinks and high speed production ain't good for the soul.
