If you can't find a company to take you on straight away you could try doing it the other way round, like i did - start doing C&G 2330 at college by yourself, and then try finding work as an electrician's mate.
I'm not saying it's the perfect solution, but you may find it easier.
I agree with what you say about the government's lack of help though - they seem to want more tradespeople but don't want to lift a finger to help. |
