Default Taking on an apprentice

I am thinking of taking someone on as an apprentice. I have been told that if I do, their training provider, in this case Gloucester College, will want to come and see me for a safety audit. Has anyone had any experience of what this involves.
Thanks
Dan

Hi Dan

I was told that they make an initial visit to see if you are going to be a suitable employer for an apprentice. Then about every 12 weeks they come out to see how everything is going and visit you and apprentice on site.

If you've not got anyone in mind, or could perhaps run to two apprentices, I'm off to Gloucester college this September, provided that is I can find someone to work for during my apprenticeship.
