    Default Sparks or Sparky

    Hi Guys

    New to this forum, please don't rip the **** out of me on this question.

    What is the common slang for an Electrician is it Sparky or Sparks ?

    Both terms are very often used, I wouldn't say one is more popular than the other in my years on sites of all sizes

    spark or sparky for 1 electrician and sparks for 2 or more.

    if I post the names I have been called in the past the moderators will kick me off and that was just the mother in law sparks, sparky, magician (Oh sorry that`s what some customers think we are)

    I would say that 'a sparks' is the noun & 'a sparky' is the adjective' form
    The collective noun for a group of us is; a flash of sparkies
