Default Postion of RCD fused Spur

I have fitted an RCD fused spur to that covers the bathroom lights.
The spur is fitted at the top of the wall outside the bathroom touching the ceiling.
The customer is complaining that the fused spur should be accessible. In my opinion it is.
I have looked through the regs and can find nothing that says that they should be at a certain height.
    Any comments would be appreciated.

BS 7671 does not give specific heights for accessories.

The Building Regulations require the following :

Accessories must be mounted between 450mm and 1200mm from the finished floor level in habitable rooms in new dwellings.

    Hi Sintra

Yes that is the only thing I could think of too. Part M, but its an old property so I am presuming that does not cover this installation?

    Thanks

Is this fcu accessible for operation as you have mentioned it is at ceiling height?

Yes it is accessible. Its at ceiling height so does require step ladders to reach it. But I still consider that to be accessible. What do you think?

You have answered the question yourself. As designer of the circuit you have stated that it is accessible so you are complying with the regs.
