Default Switch Fuse Question

Hi there,

If I'm running a 16mm Steel Wired Armour cable up to consumer unit which is 10 meters away (cable will be mechanically protected0, what size switch fuse shall I protect it with? 60A, 80A, 100A? Or are any of them okay?

Thanks

To be honest, that is a very basic question which you should know the answer too, even if just starting out in college!

Find the rating of the cable and then fuse down from that.

IE cable rating 70amp, then fuse at 60amp.

Good luck with terminating!
