Discuss rcd in the Electrical Forum, General Electrical Forum at Electricians Forums Discussion Boards; hi quick one do you need a rcd on circuits that you only replace light fittings not add any wiring. sounds a stupid question but just want to check. thanks...

    hi quick one

    do you need a rcd on circuits that you only replace light fittings not add any wiring.

    sounds a stupid question but just want to check.

    IMHO no!

    Its a like for like change so all you need think about is a MWC.

    MWC stands for Minor Works Certificate
