Re: scottish power ripp off
Ive said it before and i'll say it again, .....The amount these supply/DNO companies have made over the years on every domestic supply, the cost of making their installation safe to work on , by the incorporation of Isolator or Switch fuse and the cost of installation, has been more than paid for, several thousands of pounds over in fact!! How these jokers can actually charge, for what is really there responsibility and what they are charging a ''standing charge'' for, ie continuous upkeep and modernisation of your supply, is nothing short of commercial daylight robbery...lol!!

Re: scottish power ripp off
Just arranged with British Gas, who supply my electricity, to come and fit an isolator to my own place. They're charging £45 and say that they'll change the meter at the same time as it's due for a change soon anyway. They first offered 5 weeks time. I managed to get them to agree a date in 3 weeks. Bit longer than I'd hoped.

Re: scottish power ripp off
What!?! Total rip off mate isnt it. If they wont do it for free they should hand out the numbered stickers like they do down here. If I dont have specific addresses at collection the give me five at a time and I email details through after each completion.
