Really? Ours have never done that in the entire 3 years! We have always had to wait. I spoke to one tutor on Thursday who said they were still waiting for the results to come in from the group that sat the exam on Tuesday. I can't see them having a reason to lie though (not doubting you though btw)

well i have run Gola exams on

2381,
2382-10,
2382-20,
2377-01,
2377-02,
& 2392-10

The results have always been available within 2 or 3 seconds

I have heard of colleges where the exams secretary wont give the results to the student, they have to give it to the tutor first

we have always got our results instantaneously. In fact the 301 exam we done a couple of weeks ago was the only one we had to wait about 20 mins for and that was only because they did n't want to disturb the students who were still sitting theres!!!!!

yeh we've always had our results instantly - they did make us wait 30 mins once for everyone to finish which had us all sweating lol
I found the exam easier than what i was expecting - 4 maths questions (two on motor rpm calculation, one on total resistor value connected in parellel & one on efficiency of a motor)
I got the usual H&S questions, motors, and a few electrical component questions. If you do end up resitting i'd recommend to just study past papers, if you do quite a few you'll know the sort of questions your gonna get asked. Just know your motors, calculations and a bit electronics and the rest you'll get away with.
I found this site good for revising, heres some login details for some of the papers

Paper 22

Paper 26

One question that threw me was iso9000 - this represents:
1. Safety
2. Quality
3. silly answer
4. silly answer

Straight away i chose quality and moved onto the rest of the questions, then i reviewed each question can came back to this and started to think what ISO could mean and started to think the S could me safety so then changed my answer to safety - that cost me my distinction
17th wiring regs update & 2391 is next on the cards, not sure whether to do the 2391 at college or hammer it out on a 5 day course at a training centre?

sory mate think you have got a bit confused with your numbers, there is no 2392-20

the 2392-10 focuses on initial verification
The 2391-10 focuses on Periodic Inspection

Its got nothing to do with domestic or three phase

esentially with 2392-10 you can test and verify your own work, with 2391-10 you can test other peoples work

i been teaching 2392-10 for awhile (and 2391), and it is a LOT easier than the 2391 for students!

thanks for the wbsite info
