Default Special Offer on Electrical Training courses!

Hi to all the forum users

As the newest sponsors of the Electricians Forum, Access Training are offering a very limited number of training places, on a first come first served basis to the forum users

Note that this offer is ONLY available to registered users of this forum!

We are prepared to offer a FULL EAL Domestic Electrical Installers (Part P) course for only £875 plus VAT

PLUS

We will throw in a FULL C&G 2382 17th Edition Wiring Regs course FOR FREE

This offers a considerable saving on the commercial price for this package!

This offer is only available for a course starting the week of 07 Apr 08.

This offer may be repeated in the future, but it will always be very limited and short notice.

As we have said, there are VERY limited places for this offer, so to make a booking, or discuss the details, contact Access Training through the link and ask for Ian.

Having taken a look at the course it says you will be qualified Part P, do you not have to register with a indusrty body and be assessed by them before you can start using your qualifications ???

Regards

Martyn.

We are trying to use terms people are familiar with

In reality there is no such thing as a Part P qualification, however, with the EAL Domestic Electric Installer qual (and your 17th edtion C&G 2382) you can register with a competent persons scheme in accordance with Part P of the Building Regs

however you dont HAVE to register with a competent persons scheme

under the three categories of person stated in the Approved Document to Part P, you would become category 2:

i.e. a person qualified to issue BS7671 certificates but NOT a member of a competent persons scheme, meaning you can issue certificates for your own (after pre-notifying to bulding control) and obtain a building completion certificate.

You may then go on to join a competent persons scheme

hope this has helped

Hi Shakey,
By becoming a category 2 type do you have to pay any fees to the council's building control to obtain the completion certificate?
If so, any guidance on fee range?
