Not bad Bane for the money. I don't use 18v combi drills, use an SDS for muscle drilling and an impact driver for everything else

Yeah cirrus. You gave me some sound advice concerning the drills (as you usually do) but seeing as some of the other lads have their own SDS thought I'd just use theirs for now and invested in my own drill.

SDS further down the line probably.

Not many people seemed too interested in the above mentioned offer though

Mate good on you. See how you get on with it but the thing is that you will get on better with some tools than others and it is a learning curve until you end up happy as Larry with what you got

Makita 18v LXT 7 Tool Combo Kit 18 Volt LXT700 NEW on eBay, also, Combo Kits Packs, Power Tools, Business, Office Industrial (end time 14-Mar-08 12:18:46 GMT)

i know its american but stick a yellow 110v plug on the charger and away you go. you can even purchase an uk charger and it will still be a blinding deal.

    stay well away from this.............................

DeWalt 2Kg SDS Hammer Drill 240V & Drill Driver 12V - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys

i see now on their website they admit that the chisel drill is 230v but when this deal first came out there was no indication that the chisel drill was 230v, i even phone them up and they wouldn tell me........ i asked at the shop they wouldn tell me............ it dosent say anywhere on the box........ in the end i made them get me one out of the warehouse and opened a sealed box found out it was 230v and gave it back to them.

    sneaky.

    Back to the primary post.

    The drill is crap.

Though I must admit it blows my ToolTec out of the water.

That took 5 hours to charge and I managed to UNSCREW 3, (yes 3, count them) woodscrews before it died on me. Wouldn't have minded too much if it managed 5. That's one per charging hour at least...
