Is the following scenario practicable and does it meet regulations?

A garage consumer unit with two 32A MCBs and one 63A/30maRCD main switch supplies two ring mains in 2.5mm T&E fom each 32A MCB.

This garage unit is fed from a 45A minitrip mcb in an old wylex board using 4mm T&E. (Distance from garrage unit is 300mm)

    The main supply is PME

Each ring serves 6 twin socket outlets.

    Your thoughts please

    Simon.

    Hey there.

4mm on 45A doesn't sit right with me.

Yup! So if I fed the garage unit with 10mm that would meet requirements,

or I could just split the tails and Henley block.

    Hey.

Splitting the tails with henleys is best IMO. You can use a larger earthing conductor also, i.e 16mm tails and 10mm earth, as opposed to 10mm T+E with 4mm earth.

    Cheers
