Question Minimum degree of IP code protection to be afforded by....

    A. Front surface of distribution board

    B. Horizontal top surface of motor starter which is accessible

    C. Front surface of a conduit box containing live terminals

I have had this question in one of my mock exams yesterday in my 2391 inspection and testing courses and I am not sure for the A and B answers:

    My trainer says that it's A. IP4X, B. IP4X, C. IP4X

    And I think it's: A. IP2X, B. IP4X, C. IP2X

Please help, I need someone to shed some light here! So confused

    Thanks

Sack your trainer and try his seat out for size, you're bang on.

Point your instructor to reg section 416.2 for barriers and enclosures.

Thanks guys, it's all clear in my head now. The trainer has actually admitted he was wrong today!
