Hope you have contacted JTL. You might find you have to chase them a bit. Have you tried contacting any local contractors. Like the comments earlier in the thread make personal visits if you can and take a copy of your details with you to leave with them. Try some A4 notices in the local electrical wholesalers and ask them if they know anyone looking for apprentices, they get to know what's happening out and about.
The last thing is don't get dis-heartened. It's a hard world out there at the moment and you will have to show that you are "the one". Stick at it and if it's what you want you will get it.
Good luck and keep us informed of what happens.

I think its to some guy in china, even though i applied for the apprenticeship, Jks (sorry for being so sarcastic)

They like send a letter to tell you when the assesment is, but they seem to be taking forever to send me another :@

I really need to ring them and keep on, Because McDonalds is boring the tits of me lol

Just a quick update guys, well JTL are being absolute knobs, and i rang them and they said there not taking on apprentices until early 2009, i was like but i appled ages ago and you have just ignored me, they said you will be sent a letter early 2009 to see if your still interested and if you are you will be onre of the first on the asesment list.

Also, was looking at a company called Clarkson Evans, they do apprenticeships but not the type of apprenticeship JTL do.
