Thumbs up off shore electrical work

has anybody got any experience working off shore as a spark i here alot about how good the money is an the fact you work roughly about 8-9 months a year but is it essential you need experiance as a spark i have covered all fields mainly industrial but i dont wanna gamble a couple of grand an then only to be told i need experiance. any replies would be appreciated thanks.

i have no experience of off shore work my self but a good mate of mine works off shore as a absailing spark ,he does 2 weeks on and 1 off,it took him ages to get a regular slot though,he gets about £250.00 per day so the dosh aint great.

I would say 55 grand + a year is pretty good money but then again, you could earn that without going offshore.

just think though cirrus swinging off a rig in the north sea with the waves lapping up your ass changing a light fitting,no beer,no birds,not my idea of heaven.lol
