Default About The IEE Wiring 17th Edition

About the 17th edition

The 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations is meant to be published on the 1st January 2008. There are many changes and amendments to the current one. Changes such as mandatory use of RCD’s, bathrooms and new locations.

The qualification will change from the 2381 to 2382, and the 2391 with be replaced with the 2392. People holding the 16th edition qualification will only have to do a top up to update there qualification to the 2382.

There are also further certificates which will be able to obtain:
  • Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification – 2392-10
  • Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations – 2392-20
  • Certificate in Design, Erection and Verification of Electrical Installations – 2392-30
  • Certificate for the Building Regulations Part P – Electrical Safety for Domestic Installers (Qual title TBC) – 2393-10
  • Certificate for Qualified Supervisors of Domestic Installers. (Qual title TBC) – 2393-20
  • Certificate for the Building Regulations - Electrical Safety for Commercial and Industrial Installers (Qual title TBC) – 2393-30
