Hi
Just been to see a 3 bed new build bungalow everything's straight forward, it's just the underfloor heating I'm wary about as haven't ever wired it before, I need to speak with the plumber and ask him the spec I know, each room comes back to the manifold , the owner says the thermostat switch will be outside each room and another stat in the room? I just fort the stat was in the room? I guess there's a 3 core and earth from each stat back to a control panel above the manifold ? Then wire out the th panel down to the aquatators on the manifold? It's also a solar thermal system I see some small cables in the loft with these? What are they for?

The one I worked on, there was a normal honeywell roomstat in each room with a 3c and earth back to the the junction box.The black from each stat opened the respective valve on the manifold to supply ch to that room.Can,t see the point of a stat switch outside each room if you can use the dial.The wires in the loft may be from the temp sensors in the solar panel to tell the solar pump when to circulate water thro the panel when the panel is hotter than the water in the cylinder.

I know I'm probably a bit old fashioned but I've always found reading the paperwork and wiring diagram to be the best way to work out what is needed.

Asking us on here without any information as to what type of system it is won't really get you very good results.

Over the years I've wired systems which use 2,3 or 4 cores to each stat, and one which had cat5 to each stat.
 
You need a list of material being used as you could come unstuck. You will generally have a couple of wiring centres. 1 for the general heating and hot water and the other for the UFH. You will need links between both wiring centres. If the UFH 2 port valve is remote from the UFH wiring centre then this needs consideration. Most thermostats will require a 3core and earth but as @davesparks says above some require different cabling. The solar thermal collector, sensors and pump will generally connect to a dedicateted controller.
 
Most I have wired have required a extra core for the night set back mode.
I have also wired one where the stats needed a cat 5 to them.
Most work better with a floor sensor in too.
Best thing to do is read the instructions throughly

Have to agree some systems have stats that are 230v some cat 5 find out exactly what is being supplied then if not sure speak to the manufacturers they could turn around and say that the stats need to be in the rooms.
