Another New Year post. Not a video this time!
A really useful bit of old kit for 'old boys' like me... Used by me as a child and still useful at times this year. Is it legal or not? Starter for 10 points...
Q1/. would it still be legal if it had never been unplugged?
Q2/. Is is legal to use it / them now? For double insulated appliances...

I have one of these for plugging in my iron into the lighting circuit!

And a bayonet splitter, so I can continue to use the lamp whilst ironing.
It was only twenty odd years ago when my mum got rid of hers. Only because the iron finally went pop due to the cotton insulation on the flex wearing out...

Anyone got a link to that old video where a frayed pendant flex shorts and blows the fuse when the toaster is plugged in, then the whole family help to repair the fault?

Loved those public safety ads....i bet i could re-act all of them, with a set of puppets;)
The water leak,at Christmas dinner, and the grim reaper, hanging round the pond, were favourites...

....Trying to forget the swimming ones, with our inherited ozzy pedo...

....can you see what it's gonna be?...yeah....segregation,fella...
