Hi guys. I need to check if I have a ring or 2 radial running from a fuse. I have an old wylex fuse box in which someone has put a blue 15amp fuse in a red 30amp carrier.
If I disconnect the 2 cables and check for continuity of the 2 lines then the 2 neutrals will this tell me if I have a ring...
I’m looking to self install a Nest Learning Thermostat on my Worcester Bosch 280 boiler, mainly as it’s a rented house, and I need to be able to remove the Nest when I leave, or when the boiler is serviced.
The wiring looks straight forward, but I just wanted to sense check before I go ahead...
I recently bought a house and started to rewire it. A sparks mate came and helped with a few bits and I got him capping the chases.
He put a nail through a cable in one chase, then told me he may have done it in a couple of other places, he's not sure!
I had a plasterer going round behind me...

"Over the last few years we've watched the PAT Testing Industry turn almost on its head - where companies once were charging a fortune to test your equipment, now they're charging mere pennies. If you are looking for the cheapest price for your PAT Testing, please...
I have got a 3 phase motor running a conveyor belt, every couple of days it will trip the overload. I have tested the motor, windings are ok, not drawing excessive current, good insulation resistance. It has a brake mounted on it but this seems to be releasing ok.
Motor does get a bit hotter...
Does anyone credit check or ID check consumers they work for?
I've been running my electrician contractors for over 10 years now, so you would think I would know the answer to this but I've never really bothered to do it. I do credit check commercial clients, but a while ago Credit safe...
