Have recently moved into a new build house which has been wired for alarm system throughout. however there is one alarm cable (6core) which is by the consumer unit, can anybody think what this is for or shed any light on why you would want a alarm cable in cu?
Does anyone have any experience of this ever being acceptable?

We installing this panel below on Monday in a petrol station. The swa is coming in the bottom so we need to cut out square and add paxlin plate to gland into as the petrol station is not connected to earth from submain, and on its own TT system..
Might be a silly question but, on a constant current led driver for example 700ma is this the max current drawn on the output side whether 1,2,3 or however many led are connected, only reason I ask is because I saw some LEDs connected with cat 5 and wondered if that was ok to do?!

Hi, ive just fitted a crabtree loadstar RCBO to my split load consumer unit, to supply my smoke detector circuit. When detectors are connected to a MCB they work fine. When connected to the RCBO it trip one of the RCD's. Any advice please?
