Hi there, I am looking for some info on the current regs regarding the burying of junction boxes in my garden for outdoor lighting on a retaining wall.
The junction boxes will be behind the retaining wall. I am using 3 core SWA and ip66 boxes.

Hi
If anyone can help with this, I'd really appreciate it!
We've been quoted £350 (!) for a metal 'Intumescent' Internal Meter Box, measuring 400x320x160 mm. The Electrician says that as the box is in the hallway, 3rd amendment regulations apply because it is a fire escape. However there is also...
My last thread was taken down due to copyright reasons, I think it was because I scanned a page from the wiring regs and posted it.

Boring thread.

I see the IET site has the ISBN as 978-1-84919-887-5. Does anyone know if this is the latest print? I understand...

As someone doing a kitchen refurbishment project for the first time (and now having learnt the hard way why you should never leave your kitchen fitter in charge of sourcing the electrician), I was a bit surprised about the state the electrical works were left in and just figured I'd check here...

Don't know if I'm being over critical, with the onset of the 17th IET Regulations the term Competent Person (CP), has been dropped in favour of Skilled Person (SP), yet we still call the schemes NICEIC etc CP Schemes. Should it not be SP Schemes?
