So you have 240V between live and neutral and 12V between live and what?
Okay, either your sparky friend is trying to kill you or maybe you misunderstood something.I was told by a spark i am working with, that if you only use live and earth then it gives 12v ac.
I am an apprentice yes. I did not believe what he was saying as I do not see how this would work without a transformer, this is why I was checking here. Thanks
Have you ever heard of a wind up cause I think that's what he is doing to you.
You and your friend need to go to college, live to neutral = 240 live to earth = 240
What course are you doing and what college are you at?I am in college and have always been told that it is 240 from l - E so did think he may be taking the ****. Just wanted to check.
I think after the question in your opening post discretion would be the better part of valour.230 V ± 10% at 50 Hz. so can be 240.
Apprentice, C&G 2357. why?
