BOROROBBO

hi all,

I'm looking at getting the equivalent to the 2391. would that be the 2394 or 2395 or both?

The other question is where can i sit these exams in the north east? All the ones I've rang have said they only do it down south now because there wasn't enough people wanting to do it up here.

any help is much appreciated as always

cheers

As noted elsewhere (search 2391), together the 2394 & 5 are regarded as a replacement for the 2391. You can sit them in any order but probably makes sense to do the 2394 (Initial verification) first. There is a fair amount of crossover between the two as you might imagine.

As timbobelfast has said, the final sittting of the 2391 is December this year and unless you have already registered to sit it, that boat has sailed.

Sorry, can't help you with colleges in your area - suggest you just try each one individually.

Regards

I know it's a hell of a trek but have you tried South Tyneside College? They're always pretty busy with electrical courses

2395 is seen as the more relevant replacement for the 2391, but i would try do both. I can offer both as one course in Bradford, but that is one hell of a trek, especially as you would have to trek down at least 3 more times after the course, to complete exams etc.

Cheers............Howard

What's happens if you have your 2391

2391 quals are still totally valid. S&G change/renumber quals quite a lot. Why - well you'd need to ask them, but some suggest that it was the high failure rate (around 60%) on the 2391 which has led to the change. Quite simply, from this year the I&T qual is the 2394/5.
