This has been a mixed week of classroom fun and exam terror for me, but alls well that ends well.
I took a week and treated myself to the new C&G Initial / Periodic Inspection and Test qualification. It's the replacement for the 2394/5 and has only recently been released. Three exams and a practical to be done and yes you can take your books in. But after the beatings learnings I've had here and the classroom exercises I didn't feel the need to open mine. Come to think of it, that may explain a few things . All the exams are done on site with results available same day, which I think is a welcome change. The most fun was the installation mock up board. It has switches on the back for the BoardNasty to introduce faults and I did feel like setting fire to it more than once ...

Did they say why they've changed the name?
I've a feeling it's because more people were doing the EAL course so they brought the name 2391 back because it holds weight in the trade.

There's an on line multiple choice, a short answer written (how to safe isolate etc) and a book of happy snaps to rate (reckon I've seen some of em on here). On line is immediate, the other two are marked by Assessor on site.

Yes mate I called them about it and they didn't even know about the change over until one of their clients mentioned it C&G didn't let them know, then they emailed me saying it would be available as of September "ish"
