boycie

probably another school boy error from a Electrical Trainee but i was testing a ring and 2 sockets were throwing out a reading of 350 ohms. zs was ok though. any ideas regarding this would be niceeeeeeee !!!

Just because it has a good Zs doesn't mean it's a ring! Check the end to end of L N and Cpc, whichever one is the high reading, could be both, check terminations at each socket. Could be screwed down on Insulation

why would you power up to read Zs with such a crappy continuity reading?

OK. if it's just at 1 socket, pull the socket off and measure on the cables. that will prove a bad connection or a dodgy socket.
