Adding more sockets to ring main

Hi Everyone, I'm thinking of adding 4 double sockets to a ring question is can i use a 30mA RCD of one of the existing sockets then add my other 4 from the RCD ?

you'd need to fit a 13A RCD FCU,as you can only spur 1 socket outlet off a ring without fusing down.

Most definitely not - it's only the front bit of an RCD socket that's protected, not the terminals !

Yes Anthony, but i want to spur off with more than one socket and nothing i plug in will no where near touch 13A

You don't want to add another RCD if the existing ring is already protected. Either extend the ring or fit an FCU with 13A fuse and feed your sockets from that.
