Hi people,
I was after some advise about going out on my own. I have been subbing for people since I qualified but resently I have decided to start putting my self out there for private jobs. I am now getting asked to do some notifable work eg fuseboard changes and was just wondering the procedure. I know I need to join a scheme (nic or one of the others) but can I take on the work and certificate it while I am waiting to join? As I know they need your work to look at etc. And then Would I need to reissue the Certs once I am a member?
Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks

If you are ready to go it alone you should really know the answers this....

Try perusing the business section and fyi Stroma is the cheapest scheme.

So long as you're in the process of joining when you do the work you should be ok.

You won't need to certify the work a second time, just do the building control notification once you've been accepted to the Part P scheme.
