Discuss Best Screwdrivers available? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Its great having decent screwdrivers, anyone out there like me and can own up to always having a particular screwdriver that never sees the head of a screw, only the ball end of a bloody big hammer :hammer:

Everyone has a few beating drivers. My favourite one gets used for digging out plaster, lifting floorboards, general chisel duties, but is still fit for large slot screws.

I like to re-purpose my broken ones as differently sized bradawls too.

Haha yes I have a very old screwdriver that's known as the 'old basher'. :D
I have a 24" Snap-on,with a 1/2" square shank that sees duty as a pry,lever and dogging tool.

I have even used it as an anchor for a strong-back or Yale pull-lift,it bends with 750 Kg on it...then springs back true.

I owned one years back, and lost it,together with 13 grands worth of kit,in a van theft...i went to the USA with me missus to cheer meself up,and ended up chasing a Snap-on van through Kissimee,Florida, pulling him over and buying another!

It's the one i use today :)
