Hello

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with recommending the best testing software to buy.

I have been using the NICEIC's online certification for EICR, EIC, EM lighting test etc. I think it's good but am considering buying a software package.

I have read reviews for both Tysoft and Amtech which appear to be ok. Are there any others out there which are good?

The software seems to be fairly pricey so I'd like to make a good choice.

I need all the usual stuff - company logo, digital signature. Ideally something easy to use and quick and also includes PAT. I suppose it would be good to have a mobile option too but not necessary.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You could try the NICEIC Certification Software by Clik - this is computer-based and is not the online cloud software you have been using. It can include your logo and digital signatures and has a PAT section too (although I use Megger PowerSuite Professional for PAT Testing because my Megger PAT tester downloads to it).

I use Tysoft Easycert too. A good comprehensive piece of kit.

I have not tried Amtech so can't comment.
I did once download the castline formfill free version, but that was god awful to use.

got Amtech system ok to use however always problems with installing updates they always blame customers computer/laptop even got new laptop re download would not activate ''must be something wrong with laptop they had to install externally they want £200+ a year for support inc updates patches ,not noticed any changes and as for support you are put on hold music then told you are about to be put through to Amtech support then abruptly told no one to take your call goodbye.

Is there anyone out there that has Amtech interested to hear others view and experience.

We have amtech has its good points also bad points. As stated the tech support is hit and miss.
Been trying to add digital signatures. I had to ring tech support, as you needed a microscope to see it
The answer tech support was. Get your engineers to sign their signatures across a piece of a4 paper then scan it in
As of yet it still dose not work. Not had time to ring back and complain
Updates are not the best either. Usually have to get our own tech guy to ring and sort it as it's usually quicker than me messing around with it.

I've used Tysoft for years and consider it to be the best there is.

Although I won't be using it, I recently downloaded Megger's FREE Certification software for PAT and Electrical testing out of curiosity. I was quite impressed. For those who don't fancy subscription-based software, this package may well be the one for you!

Just looked at this. Is this really completely free? It looks like a good piece of software to get started with.

Yep ...... completely free, and it's much better than any of the other free forms that I've seen.

We have used Tysoft for years. Its not free for us as we take advantage of all the features, updates and support but considering it does all these things rather well, we consider it worth it.

I agree. Tysoft has everything I need and I wouldn't consider using any other subscription-based software package.
