just get a plasterer in. he'll soon bury them. :ciappa:

I need to leave 2 3 gang switches in place in case of a change of use in the future and don't really want people to flick the switches as I've installed a new PIR controlled contactor and would sooner leave them in behind a plate if I could.

well then , if it's a grid, fetch a plumber. they's used to firking around in grids. @ OP. why not remove switches, wago the cables in the configuration you want. fit a blank plate, then switches can easily be re-fitted in the future if required. sssimpless.

Link them in a Wago behind the grid with a note on the cables and blank the switch and the D/B, sorted.

Telectrix has faster fingers than a pick pocket. First blood to you mate.

These people are a bit strange that was what I was going to do but they want to see the switches in :)I'm just going to link them and tell them it wouldn't work. I had to break into the live feed and couldn't break into the switch lines due to layout so if people start flicking switches it's potentially a very poor lighting arrangement :s
