Relax everyone. Remove case and wire it up. It is the gassafe engineers responsibility to then commission the appliance to manufacturers instructions prior to handing over to the customer.
slighytly wrong, if the boiler has been wired on a flying lead and left working/connected to the gas supply then it must be commissioned at this stage as required by the gas regulations. So if a sparks comes in after to rewire or fit a stat or external clock for example then the gas engineer may not return to check the appliance as its already commissioned. So never assume it will be checked and take the responsibility as yours to make sure the case is correctly fitted.
