Discuss Bosch PMF 180 E Multifunctional Allrounder in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

I have one too. I wrote all about it here on my blog, what I do with it and how it performs etc.

Agree that you need to be a bit careful with the blades, but lets be honest, if you repeatedly run through trims into the masonry etc....You can't expect too much from a blade!

The way I justify it these days is to compare the blade costs, to the time the PMF 180 saves me. Then the running costs are peanuts.

I got one and can't see the advantage of buying the 'pro' version. Got mine for £52 on Amazon. I find some use for it at least once on every big job I do. According to my chippie mate there are places that will re-cut the blades for you for half the cost of a replacement. He said they cut deeper teeth in them so they last longer too. Haven't checked this out yet. But yes, when you have one, you won't know how you lived without it.

Can you share the place that re cuts the blades?

Got one for xmas, well i ordered it in the Amazon sale on boxing day. Full set, all blades 24 accessories £122 all in delivered, came 2 days later. Not used it yet, but i dare say it will be out of the box tomorrow, got an awkward cooker point to fit amongst other things.

I got the PMF 180 E from Homebase with a £20 discount.
Got some extra blades from B&Q when they did a 3 for 2 on Bosch accessories.
Always carry it and it's got me out of many a tight spot, paying for itself already.
