Discuss Can't pull DNO fuse; must specify rating; X-ray vision nonfunctional in the Periodic Inspection Reporting & Certification area at ElectriciansForums.net

Interested to know what other people's normal practice is for completing the "supply protective device rated current" box on the EICR form, given that we can't pull the DNO fuse. Do you trust the amperage label (60A, 80A, 100A, etc.) on the fuse carrier? Or is that in fact the maximum rating of the fuse carrier and potentially nothing to do with the rating of the actual fitted fuse? - I've heard conflicting opinions about that. What do you do if there's no label? Does your answer differ depending on whether DNO seals are fitted or not? Cheers.

The rating label on the carrier is it's maximum rating, use that value unless you have evidence to the contrary. I can't see the point in cutting seals just so that you can put a number into a box.

Just put nv in the box and maybe a comment that you have gained the info via the label only.
