Hi I bought a cheap cctv system off eBay a floureon system my broadband is with bt I can't get it connected to the Internet it says gateway error on the dvr has anyone had same problem or know how to sort.
Thanks in advance

It shouldn't really need messing with then really. Is it working fine other than not connecting to the net?

You sometimes need a static IP address or a port opening or something.

You could do with trying to find a manual maybe. Or email the manufacturer or something.

Bad gateway could mean anything.

I did look at that video but I've got windows 10 and can't see dns primary and secondary
But got a old laptop out and only shows primary dns so not sure

They can be a pain in the bum to setup sometimes but once they're working it's the kind of thing that usually only needs setting again if you change your router or whatever.

It's a really vague message that bad gateway one is it can mean loads of things but basically it's not connecting.

BT might be able to help you if you say the router is giving a bad gateway they might be able to get you test some ports that they know are common for cctv or something.
