Mark the wall out , show the customer what to do , go down pub then back home , go back next day its done...LOL..
 
on recent jobs i cut outline for a box with oscillating multicutter with diamond tile blade. like 5mm deep, helps to control damage to the plasterwork around no big pieces come off. if its a crap wall or crumbly lath then even deeper.
its much better than a chase machine when comes to dust and precision.
dig out the rest with bosch mains sds with a short and wide chisel.

when done stick the box in with a blob of bonding coat mixed with cement. fix with some red plugs and screws an hour later.
