Thought we could do with a handy list of cold callers that's you've had recently, so others can avoid their sales calls.

Who was the last firm to cold call you related to your business?

(Not talking about PPI claims, we all know to ignore those lol)

This should be the first link on this thread. The TPS, telephone preference service. It makes any marketing or sales calls made to a number on the list a breach of the law. If you gain the details of the company calling, you can report them on the website too.

I'm not sure that the TPS have very sharp teeth either, but registering does cut down the number of cold calls by a good way.

The calls that I do receive, I save under a contact on my mobile called "Sales Idiots" then I know if they are calling again.

I do exactly the same with the recruitment agencies.

I've got a free app on my mobile called True Caller - well worth the install. It has a database of dodgy callers and you can set it up to automatically reject the known bad ones. Furthermore, it identifies a lot of numbers from it's database, so for example if you haven't got it to block you can still see that Yell is calling etc and choose how to handle it based on that.
