Discuss conduit saddle question in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi, pulling a set in conduit is 90% bend, double set , over saddle etc, any form of shape you pull on the former is know as a set. H ave you done much conduit.?

Cheers, I've done a little bit, just starting using steel conduit not too long ago. Most of the runs were straight but have done a few bends (since I got a bending machine)

Apologies for not understanding but how does a relate to the way a besa box is mounted. Thanks

Looked at your earlier post, if using hospital saddles, just set to suit the besa box, so they are flush, no need to pack them out, you say you have a vice/bending let that do the work.

Oh ok got it now. Thanks.

If for some reason I wanted to pack them out what would I use (sorry for asking dumb questions lol)

Avoid using BESA boxes, bend the conduit instead of using an angle box. I think if you need them you could probably get away without a set to the tube if you use distance saddles, hospital saddles however will give more of a gap to the wall.

We use hospital saddles, client wants all boxes floating, so saddles are fixed close to boxes etc.. all for cleaning and it's stainless gear
