Have a job to fit 9 fluorescent fittings in a very large marquee made up with large aluminium poles . I want to run the circuit in conduit , can anybody tell me if there is anything out there I can use to secure the conduit to the aluminium poles making up the roof of the marquee . I have found plenty of support method but none specially designed to fix support to aluminium poles .

Thanks

Also be careful of mixing metals , ( can not remember the terminology ) I know it should be nice and dry inside the marquee which would help , but depending on its use you may get some condensation !?

is this a temporary installation?

if so the answer to this question is arctic cable, c-form connectors, catenary wires between the poles for the lights (or clip the fitting vertically to the poles) , and cable ties to clip the cable up the seems where the marquee sides are strung together, with the cables strung around the top of the walls.

never saw anyone using conduit on any festival site in the decade I worked on them.

If this is a permanent fitting, or for a wedding venue or something then the method may need varying.
