I Need Work Confused - need an apprenticeship. HELP

my nmae is Johnathan I'm from the northwest (Wigan) a few years ago I done my PEO and c&g 2330. Then everything went to pot. No jobs.. nothing. So I got a normal job. I still want to be an electrician. I'm now 23 and I want a trade. I have a full drives license and my own transport. Is my 2330 worthless. Where do I stand? Am I too old?

I have applied for a few apprentiships waiting to hear back, I always think they want younger ones? True or not?


As you can see I have a lot of questions in my head.

try the agencies for electricians mate jobs. also sign up with indeed, jobsite , etc. for email alerts for jobs in your area. i'm not far from you and i get daily alerts for jobs in liverpool, chester, manchester and all round here.

lots of paperwork involved in the apperenticeship business... get a set of basic tools (screwdrivers, cutters etc) and try finding electricians mate job, it will give you experience and you can put your foot in the trade.

My 2330 qualifications are they good?
I've applied for an apprenticeship close to where I live. If I get it it would be a godsend. It's 3 miles away.

What would I need to qualify? What are the next stages?
