Cooker switch/outlet

Hey guys,

having a dumb moment and cant vision it.

Basically, how do you get the cooker outlet plate http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Images/Products/size_3/BG979.JPG behind your cooker, when you cooker switch http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Images/Products/size_3/BG971.JPG has to be fixed to either side??

The cooker switch will be above the cooker and to the left or right of it, then a feed (normally 6mm cable) will then connect to the cooker outlet and then you would wire the oven up to the cooker outlet.

sorry maybe I didnt explain too good

yeah I get the wiring up process, I meant to add about keeping the cable between the switch and outlet within safe zones/not running horizontal etc

You can run horizontal and vertical , just not meandering on different angles.

you can run cable both vertically and horizontally from either or both accessories.

so even though the cable will be buried its OK to change direction? Do you not need to have an accessorie/blank plate at the "point"

change in direction is fine when buried, think of it like a cross each outlet you have there is a horizontal and vertical line going through.

Generally the 90 degree change of direction will happen at the cooker outlet, if the outlet is at the side of the cooker.
