Just pandering to the uneducated proletariat, it looks good, it costs a lot, I can afford it, I want it, I have no sense and I'll get a man int o fit it, you or me maybe?

That's not as good as my Pyro pendant.

I'd just wire the wall light in to a suitable outlet plate and stick the thing on the wall. Job done.

You could use LED lamps which will draw substantially less than 28 10W halogens. 10A is usually overkill for most domestic lighting circuits, especially now with LEDs everywhere. I switched on all the lights here, including table lamps, the loft light and outside lights and measured a current of about 0.7A total.

I did this at a customers empty house - 4 x 35w halogens on a bar in each room upstairs and down and the 2 circuits up and down drew 5.56amps both on 6 amp mcbs so with a splattering of LED would not get near the In. I love my new clamp meter!

Yep, plus another 7 for the other light. The worst part was trying to hide the cables in the wall, the back of the light was solid with no void to run the supply out. Nightmare, should've just said it wasn't possible!

Just had this job in. "Please fit this antique lamp that we've just bought, the shop owner says that it's been rewired to the latest standard" - I wonder whose standard. Great looking flex though, it'll look like I've hung it on a bit of FP200.
