Yes he is part of a competent person scheme that's why I was surprised he took this route with the job and thanks for your input westward10 never actually knew what the correct terminology was
 
Conductor, I like that use it all the time as opposed to cable, wire, tails or something that really irritates me and not much does I will have you know "HENLEY bloody BLOCK" as opposed to service terminal block.

Unless of course the particular brand of service connector you are using happens to be manufactured by Henley.
 
That book looks really interesting Dave, see they had an emergency head office at the time, most likely the usual one was a victim of German bombers , and the new type backboard insulators mentioned musn't have been favourably received - I've never seen anything other than porcelain insulators on backboards ?

I'd never even considered that was why they had an emergency head office, but it seems obvious now you say it!

I don't honk I've ever seen anything other than porcelain either, weird
