Hi people,

I am looking at dropping the pen and paper routine and moving to electronic certification. What are the differences in the above two? Also I tried phoning easycert but had rubbish reception so couldn't hear very well, how much does it cost in full including vat for there elec certs and iPhone use aswell? I will only be doing installation and condition reports. I am also an approved contractor with niceic. Niceic say ÂŁ306 inc vat but I think that is without the iPhone use.

Thanks

I have only used Easycert which I got for ÂŁ250 inclusive but that did include gas cert ( I am Gas Safe as well ). Easycert has lots of reports and certs including ones for NICEIC - you can try before you buy. Sorry I don't know much about the NICEIC software. I am happy with Easy Cert and like you do EICs and CRs in the main.

Easycert prices are clearly displayed on their website. I had to decide between nic, Easycert or Megger software. Trialled all 3. Easycert was the easiest for me. I believe there may well be a new NICEIC software out later this year connected to the guys that are doing the billing software (if you've tried that).

Megger software was a bit plonky, that's when their testers work. The NIC software was OK but I felt Easycert was easy to learn. I don't have time to waste on complicated software. The guy at Easycert has always been helpful and quick to respond when I have a query. I use it on a small laptop that I use onsite for cert completion/PIR's etc
