Discuss ECA and ESC announce major partnership in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Very well put OT, and I do agree that the part p entry requirements for enry ino a part p scheme are practically nil. But I do not think that there should be no control of our industry, it should just be far more rigorous. Incidentally, there always was rubbish work, I've just been looking at a 1960's property that is a total disgrace. Hence the reason I think we do need safeguards, however the existing schemes are not working and I always make sure that the NICEIC assessor knows my views. But I personally think they are better that nothing, it the way that they determine competence that I disagree with.

I'm just bumping some of the older threads in the general electrical forum that had a lot of replies. They might not be current topics, if they're not, just ignore them and they'll soon drop off the list. If you DO wish to add a reply and get the conversation going again, feel free to do so. Your input might help somebody else in the future.
