EICR code

I'm doing a EICR on a caravan site. Came across 5 circuits each supplying about 13 16A socket outlets. All are protected by 63 A mcbs and all wired in 6mm twin armoured cable buried underground. The cable rating for the cable is 46A with the ref installed etc.

Im undecided if I should code 3 this as the installation has been in service for over 30 years and cable shows no signs of thermal damage etc. Or if I should put my foot down, code 2 it and go from there.

Any advice would be much appreciated

IMO the 16A sockets can not be protected by 63A MCB as they are rated at 16A. They need 16A protection.

The cable needs coding as a C2 IMO, it may have been in use for 30 years but it may not of carried it's FLC but that's not to say it won't in future.

The circuit isn't classed as a fixed load so therfore needs over current protection. The current protection is over rated so needs coding.

Are they just commando sockets or proper caravan hook up points with rcbo's?

Sorry I should have said that before, each one separately protected by its on Mcb inside the hook up. So the regs mentioned above are satisfied, im just worried about the loops in and out to each point, being on the 63A mcb

Code 2 IMO as the load could be greater than the CCC of the cable.

IMO the 63a requires downrating and code as a code 2.

the 63a doesn't offer protection to the 6mm cable so in the event of high usage the cable could overheat and potentially melt before the 63a breaker trips which could potentially introduce a whole range of other problems.
