Discuss EICR for a static caravan. in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Not as bad as the one I had today, no earth on 6 vans. Some twit had jointed the swa from turret to first hook up box and clearly did a **** poor job of it. Nearly had the same again on another set of vans where someone had jointed the swa and failed to bury the joint leaving it an inch above ground, grass cutter comes along and chopped the top clean off exposing the conductors, still all worked fine though so I just chucked some mud over it.

I went to test an old caravan site on Saturday that has had chalets built on the old pitches. Whole supply setup is a disaster! Seems to be an armour goes out and a 16mm twin has been jointed on to this at each chalet. 107 ohms earth loop at whole site!! Back to investigate a bit more and get an acceptable earth loop this week! I'll get some photos when I'm back!
