Discuss Electrical Engineering Forum in the Electrical Engineering Chat area at ElectriciansForums.net

That's what I thought to be fair. I couldn't define it beyond saying it'd be industrial and / or manufacturing-based. But it seems we don't specifically have many actual engineers on here, or do we and they're hiding?

I personally think the industrial is enough and would cover all the aspects You could maybe incorporate it the title, there are many that get qualfied but are far from Engineers, The term is quite loosely banded about these days, I have worked on lots of large projects in my time, I have installed million pound Granutch Grizzly shredding systems, old Cranes, slip ring motors, I have fabricated many things I have even built a tyre shredding system which include classifiers and conveyor sytems from piles of scrap and ended up with a fully functioning system- starts as a full tyre at one end and comes out the other end as a finished products, all this in the middle of a remote field somewhere with basic tools and equipment ( think of Gold rush on the history channel if you watch it )
And I still wouldn't be brave enough to class myself as an Engineer . You then get a guy doing his quals who couldn't use a Tap and Dye set but brags of being an Engineer.

Personally think there is enough forums now for everything we cover. Some forums have too many sections and you are therfore unsure where to post.

Well from what you have just quoted it seems you do a fair bit of finding solutions by using engineering, in my eyes an engineer.
