Hi there,

Basically, I'm converting a panel van. I'm planning to install two sets of LEDs & two mains sockets via a leisure battery/inverter/battery charger combo. I've been swatting up (thanks to much help from people on this forum!) and am almost ready to finish off the job. I'd love for someone to come out and tell me where I've gone wrong with it all, as I'm sure I have! Ie checking cable sizes/fuses/anything I may have accidentally overlooked before I plug it in and blow up the van.

If you could let me know when you're free (or I'm open to recommendations too) over the next week or so/rate/contact details it would be much obliged.

All the best,
Scott

as long as your fuse rating (In) is less than the current capacity (Iz) of the cable it protects, then the worst you'll get is a blown fuse, and if the actual design current (Ib) is less than In, youse laffin'

Why oh why can't the BS7671 put it like this!

Fuse placement?!?
As long as the fuse is at point of distribution should be fine.
(your protecting the cable you have just installed.)

bear in mind that for every amp you get out of an inverter @ 240V, you are pulling >20A from the 12V supply.
